Privacy and clarity
Orb iDog asks only for permissions needed for specific functions: camera, photos, notifications and, for walk logic, location context.
Last updated: April 16, 2026.
What data is processed
The website may collect name, email, phone, country from a technical hint, dog name, breed, sex, age or a free-form message only when the visitor sends them through an early access form or the chat assistant. This data is used to contact the visitor about Orb iDog, product news, early access and responses to a specific inquiry.
Permissions in the app
- Camera and photos — for health and feed visual records.
- Notifications — for reminders and follow-up tasks.
- Location — only for more useful walk recommendations or walk logic when enabled.
- Bluetooth — for compatible kitchen scale use when recording feeding.
- Motion & Fitness — for car-movement detection and automatic walk pause.
- Microphone — for short clips used in gait video analysis in Dogs Health.
Where information is stored
Data that a visitor submits through the website is stored on the website hosting in a protected folder that is not publicly browsable. Data in the iPhone app is organized locally in the relevant modules: Walk, Dogs Health and Feed.
Cookies and website analytics
The website uses an essential cookie to remember the consent choice. Analytics are enabled only if the visitor accepts all cookies or enables analytics from settings.
When analytics are enabled, the site may record events such as page view, David assistant opened, question topic without storing the raw question text, contact form opened, approximate session duration, browser, device, language, time zone, country hint and IP address. The IP address is used in the admin panel to group actions from individual visitors and to protect against abuse.
When an early access request is submitted, the website also stores the IP address with that request so the team can trace the source, reduce spam and see clearer contact history.
The website does not secretly guess gender or age. Such data is saved only if the visitor voluntarily chooses it in cookie settings, and it may be left blank or marked as “Prefer not to say.”
AI guidance and medical boundary
AI analyses in Orb iDog help with more structured observation, but they do not diagnose and do not replace a veterinary examination. If there is pain, worsening condition, limping, sudden symptoms or possible emergency, a veterinarian should be contacted.
Email and contact
Emails from the early access form are used only for Orb iDog news and access.
